EAMBA was founded in August 2010 and has grown over the years. There are now 25 countries represented in the network. As associations in all participating countries are in different phases – from newly established to present for a number of years, and everything in between – EAMBA is a living and developing network. The yearly European meetings are meant as a forum for support and exchange about mindfulness teaching and training.
What we do
The network is guided by the principle that a personal mindfulness practice and personal experience are fundamental to teaching it in different settings. To this end EAMBA also organizes annual meditation retreats for mindfulnessteachers.
Annual Teachers’ festival
Every year during the last weekend of August, one of the members organizes and hosts a mindfulness conference. The conference is practice-based, for teachers and by teachers. It offers continuous education, research updates, presentations and workshops on new developments and specific mindfulness-based programs.
Emerging during the first period of Covid, the EAMBA Exchange group offered a place for networking, support and exchange to the wider teachers’ community. The initiative was warmly received and the concept proved to be succesful. EAMBA Exchange has become a bi-weekly online event with a diverse program of presentations and workshops. The agenda offers an overview of topics offered in the EAMBA Exchange meetings in the coming period.
EAMBA’s General Assembly is a annual event providing a place where members and affiliate members meet and exchange. Hosted by a different member association each year and by invitation only.
