On 19 October 2022, Mark Leonard shared his insights and objectives with regard to Social Mindfulness: Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education.
Mark is a sustainability professional who sought to apply Buddhist thinking and practice to address the climate crisis.
He played a key role in establishing the Oxford Mindfulness Centre in 2008.
He then went on to develop Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education from MBCT – a ‘social mindfulness’ programme which empowers people to build inclusive, sustainable culture with purpose and wellbeing.
MBOE – Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education is a pioneering programme which explores:
- Mindfulness and group effects
- Language to describe experience
- Listening with awareness
- Decision making, identity and bias
- Mindfulness in courageous conversations
- Intention, resilience and purposeful action
