Mindful photography weaves together photography, mindfulness and nature connection to improve mental health, build resilience and create hopeful futures for individuals, communities and workplaces.
In this mindful photography workshop, we will be invited to look and see afresh, with intention and attention, exploring the attitudes of mindfulness through the medium of photography.
We will be introduced to the evidence-based methodology of Look Again. Look Again was the 2024 winner of the Innovations in Mindfulness Awards in the category of training programmes, for their work with their ‘Working with Mindful Photography’ programme.
The workshop will be facilitated by Ruth Davey, the founder of Look Again and a pioneer in mindful photography. We will experience how mindful photography enables us to slow down, look, and look again; to see our lives differently; to reframe our experience of life and to take action to create positive change towards ourselves, others and the wider world.
We will be guided through grounding exercises and simple practices that are low-tech, accessible and inclusive. All you need is a smartphone and an open heart and mind. (Do check your phone is charged and has sufficient storage).
