The eamba Board acknowledges the work of VMBN (Vereniging Mindfulness Based Trainers Nederland) and BAMBA, (British Association of Mindfulness Based Approaches), closely been working together to set up criteria and procedures using internationally recognized standards* for acknowledgement of mindfulness-based programs (MBP’s).
The work of the MBP-Criteria Taskforce is explicitly about recognition of the training curriculum, not about accreditation of the program that this curriculum offers.
Recognition is therefore above all an important first step that can lead to accreditation of mindfulness-based trainings and certification of trainers who are successfully trained in the specific MBP. So far the MBP-Criteria Taskforce has piloted the following MBP’s:
- Mindfulness-based Childbirth and Parenting (Fear) (MBCP_fear) by Irena Veringa, [2020-07-14)
- Social Mindfulness: Mindfulness-Based Organisational Education (MBOE) by Mark Leonard, [2021-07-14)
- Finding Peace in a Frantic World by Mark Williams and Danny Penman, (2022-03-03)
- Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living (MBCL) by Erik van den Brink and Frits Koster, [2022-03-18]
